Strategic Consulting for a New Market Entrant
An established digital health company was looking to bring a successful enterprise-level digital health solution into Ontario. We worked together to understand the current landscape, validate their go-to-market assumptions, and refine their positioning and pitch to relevant stakeholders.

Understanding the Unattached Patient
Unattached patients are growing in number, now over 2.5M in Ontario. This means that more individuals are subjected to barriers to care and lagging access to health interventions such as cancer screening and vaccinations. This project used patient interviews to find common themes in the experience of being unattached, and the perceived value of attachment to primary care.

About
Building Block Health is led by Ilan Shahin MD, MBA, CCFP. He is a family doctor with experience in family and emergency medicine in urban and rural communities. In addition to clinical work, he was a co-founder of a digital health company that made several breakthroughs in Ontario in referral management, wait time reporting, and navigation support to primary care offices across the province. He supports startups, scale-ups and health system organizations as advisor, consultant and board member.
